Team Improvement Workshop

St. Paul, Minnesota (USA)

Gordon Curphy, PhD.

Dianne Nilsen, PhD.

Faced with rapid change and complex problems, organizations are increasingly turning to teams to provide breakthrough solutions and innovative ideas. And while there’s a bigger need for ffective teamwork, today’s teams also face bigger obstacles than teams of the past. They’re more diverse, digital, and dynamic (with members coming and going). Perhaps these challenges are behind the alarming statistic that only 1 in 5 teams are considered high performing. Teams need help!

The Team Improvement Workshop will boost your teambuilding capabilities. It will teach you how to launch new teams and equip you with the skills needed to design and deliver powerful interventions to help struggling teams get back on track. The workshop is designed to be highly interactive. Participants will have opportunities to practice teambuilding activities and share best practices.

Key Takeaways:

  • Assess an organization’s cultural readiness for teamwork

  • Facilitate Team Assessment Survey feedback sessions

  • Practice facilitating powerful team improvement activities

  • Design and facilitate team-building offsites that get results

  • Design team-oriented leadership development programs

  • Use the Team Assessment Survey in high-potential programs

What Does the Workshop Cover?

The primary purpose of the Team Consulting Workshop is to provide participants with a set of practical tools to help teams gain alignment on the context in which they operate, set team goals, clarify team member roles, run more effective meetings, make better decisions, resolve team conflict, etc.

Participants will practice using 40 team improvement exercises and learn how to build powerful team interventions during the workshop.
